Why these settings

Your GE100 is a multi-FX unit so select a high-gain amp model (Rectifier or JCM800 type). Mid pushed to 7 vs original's 5.5-6.5 because the GRG170DX's Infinity R pickups are slightly lower output than Daron's humbuckers and the GE100's amp sims can sound thin without mid compensation. Bass kept conservative at 5 to maintain palm-mute tightness in Drop C — the original tone is NOT bass-heavy despite the low tuning. Reverb is 0; the recording is bone dry.

PRO TIPTune to Drop C (C-G-C-F-A-D) — this is non-negotiable for the riff to sound right. Pick directly over the bridge pickup pole pieces with a firm downstroke attack for that percussive chunk; Daron's right hand is doing half the work on this tone.
