Why these settings

Your JEM7V has DiMarzio Evolution pickups (hot ceramic humbuckers) — similar output to EMG 81 but with more upper-mid presence. Dropped gain from 8 to 7 because Evolutions are hotter than the original ESPs passive output. Scooped mid to 2 (original was ~3) because the GE100's Mesa/Recto models are already mid-forward compared to a real Mark IIC+. The TS model tightens the low end and adds the mid-hump that makes thrash cut through. Tune to Eb Standard.

PRO TIPAll downstrokes on the galloping E-string riff — no alternate picking. Palm mute should ride right at the bridge saddles, not further back. The percussive attack comes from picking aggressively near the bridge pickup while muting tight. Double-track the rhythm if recording.
