Why these settings

Your Strat's single-coil neck pickup is brighter and lower output than Vai's PAF Pro humbucker, so I pushed mids to 8 (vs original ~6) and dropped treble to 5 to compensate for the ice-pick highs. The Mustang LT25 lacks the harmonic richness of the Carvin's tube saturation, so leaning on the amp's high-gain model with a TS-style boost in front would add the midrange focus and sustain this tone demands.
