01Tube Screamer (built-in model or 'Green Overdrive')
CRITICAL — use the Mustang's built-in Tube Screamer/OD model. SRV ran his TS9 as a clean boost (low drive, high level) to push amp mids and sustain. Without this, the tone will lack punch and definition.
Your Les Paul humbuckers are hotter and warmer than SRV's single coils, so I dropped bass from 5.5 to 4 and cut treble from 7 to 6 to prevent mud. Mid pushed to 8 compensates for the Fender-voiced Mustang models being naturally scooped vs SRV's mid-forward Dumble/Vibroverb stack. The built-in Tube Screamer model is essential—engage it to replicate SRV's signature mid-hump and compressed attack.
