GAIN SOURCE: distortion into clean-ish preamp block (run direct into amp input)
The high-gain chorus tone was originally tracked with Daniel Johns' Marshall JCM900 pushed by a distortion unit. Since you own a Boss DS-1, it serves as the primary gain source into the Mustang LT25's high-headroom setup, so amp gain is kept low at 3 to prevent muddy double-gain. Because your Fender Mustang has brighter, lower-output single coils compared to Johns' humbuckers, tone is pulled back to 4 on the pedal and 8 on the guitar while bumping bass to 7 for low-end girth. For the clean phased verses, bypass the DS-1 and turn on the LT25's onboard Phaser or Chorus effect.
