The Orange Crush 12 has a naturally darker, fuzzier solid-state gain voice and a small 6-inch speaker compared to Morello's cranked 50W Marshall JCM800 half-stack. We run the TS9 as a clean boost with Drive at zero and Level cranked to tighten the bottom end and sharpen the upper mids before hitting the amp. Amp Bass is held at 8 rather than 10 to keep the 6-inch speaker from farting out on the heavy drop-D riff. Clean intro/verse: roll guitar volume down to 3-4 on the neck pickup.
