Why these settings

The Orange Crush 12 is warm with thick low-mids, opposite of the bright Altec-loaded Marshall Rhoads used. Amp gain set to 3 keeps it clean so the Ratt provides all distortion without mud. Mid pushed to 8 and bass dropped to 3 compensates for the Orange's inherent low-mid heft and recreates Rhoads' aggressive midrange bark.
