RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; for atmospheric lead trails
The Frontman 10G faceplate has only Gain, OverDrive switch, Volume, Treble, and Bass—no midrange, presence, or reverb controls. Akira Nakayama uses high-headroom British/boutique tube stacks pushed with pedals, so engage the 10G's built-in OD button with Gain at 6 to supply the necessary J-rock rhythm crunch without turning the 6-inch speaker muddy. Keep Bass at 4 to prevent low-end flub on the tiny speaker, and set Treble to 5 while pulling your Broad'Tron pickups' tone knob back slightly to tame the harsh solid-state top end. For the clean-arpeggio verses: disengage the amp's OD button to return to the clean channel.
