01Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi (Ram's Head)

02Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress Flanger
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; creates the signature metallic swirl
03Digital Delay
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; set to ~370ms
The Yamaha GA15 is a small solid-state practice amp with no onboard effects, so we push its Drive channel to 8 to supply the necessary singing sustain today. Treble is dialed down to 5 and the Pacifica's tone knob rolled to 8 to prevent the amp's small speaker from turning fizzy. If you add a Big Muff clone later, switch the GA15 to Clean with gain at 2 and let the pedal generate the dirt. Clean arpeggio sections: press the Drive switch OFF and play on the Clean channel.
