The original Passion live tone relies on a chimey British amp pair (AC30/Matchless) soaked in dotted-eighth delay and ambient reverb pedals. Because the Deluxe Reverb lacks a dedicated Mid control and naturally scoops around 800Hz, setting Treble and Bass flat around 5 prevents single-coil Strat brightness from becoming shrill while using the onboard spring reverb to provide space. To reach the full signature sound, add a transparent overdrive and a digital delay pedal into the front input.
