The MG30CFX's OD2 channel delivers the necessary solid-state clipping, but because the Marshall is naturally mid-forward, mids are scooped hard down to 2 while keeping treble and bass high to mirror the Randall solid-state bite. Single-coil Strat pickups lack the output and low-end thickness of Dime's L500XL humbucker, so bass is pushed to 7 with gain elevated to 8 to compensate for the lower pickup output. If you add a dedicated 6-band EQ pedal later, run it in front to boost the razor-sharp highs and pull 800Hz completely.

PRO TIPPick aggressively close to the bridge using a heavy, sharp pick; the percussive 'click' on the muted 16th-note chucks is essential to Dimebag's mechanical, razor-sharp attack.
