RECOMMENDED — not currently owned
The Blues Junior IV is a vintage-voiced tube amp that cannot natively reach Dimebag's aggressive 80s solid-state Randall clipping. With the 'FAT' boost engaged and gain maxed, we push the preamp as hard as possible while pulling bass down to prevent low-end flub on the single-coil Strat bridge pickup. For the authentic razor-sharp attack, adding an external distortion pedal like a Rat into the clean channel (gain at 2) is the essential upgrade.
