Why these settings

Dimebag's Randall solid-state had a tight, scooped response — your MG30CFX is also solid-state, so the aggressive transient character translates well. However, your Strat's single-coil neck pickup is thinner and brighter than his high-output Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker. Compensate by boosting bass +1 over typical settings, rolling tone knob to 6 to tame ice-pick highs, and pushing gain to 8 to approach his sustain. The scooped mid at 3 recreates his V-curve.

PRO TIPDimebag doubled the arpeggiated intro theme and used light palm-muting on sustained notes to control feedback — let notes bloom by releasing your palm slightly after the attack, and use your Strat's volume knob to clean up between phrases for dynamics.
