01Boss GT-100 Parametric EQ Block (Furman PQ-3 style)
Placed pre-amp to recreate Dimebag's aggressive 1kHz notch and upper-mid boost
02Boss GT-100 Noise Suppressor Block
Essential to clamp the extreme high-gain hiss and keep staccato riffs tight
The SG Standard's Alnico humbuckers have warmer mids than Dimebag's ultra-hot, blade-style Bill Lawrence L500XL, so the parametric EQ block aggressively scoops around 800Hz-1kHz while pushing the 3-4kHz presence region. The R-Fier model on the GT-100 supplies the dense harmonic saturation of Dime's cranked solid-state Randall rig. Clean intro/outro: switch amp model to Clean Twin with onboard chorus and analog delay enabled.
