01MXR 6-Band Graphic EQ
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; place in front to achieve Dimebag's signature pre-distortion mid scoop
02Boss MT-2 Metal Zone
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; run into clean channel to nail the razor-sharp Randall saturation
The Haze GAG10 10W practice amp features only Gain, Bass, and Treble controls (no mid or presence knobs), so its built-in drive switch must carry the saturation today. Keep Gain at 7 to capture solid-state aggression without pushing the small 5-inch speaker into muddy low-end farting, and push Treble to 8 to mimic the harsh top-end bite of Dime's Bill Lawrence pickup. Adding a graphic EQ or high-gain dirt pedal later will let you achieve the true 800Hz parametric scoop that this 2-band amp cannot do alone.
