Dimebag's Randall solid-state had surgical tightness impossible on the Champion's tube-voiced preamp. Your DS-1 becomes the gain engine with amp on cleanest voicing to prevent mud from double-gain stacking. Tele single-coil is brighter and lower output than Dimebucker humbuckers - backed off treble to 5 and boosted mid slightly to compensate for the missing low-mid chunk. The scooped-mid Pantera character comes from the DS-1's voicing rather than extreme amp EQ cuts.
