RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for Dime's surgical mid-scoop and front-end boost. Cut 400-800Hz hard, slight bass lift, treble lift for cut.

Why these settings

The MG30CFX OD1 channel is Marshall-voiced with forward mids — Dime's Randall solid-state was naturally more scooped. Compensate by dropping mid to 2 (vs his typical 3) and pushing treble to 8. The Pacifica's Alnico V bridge humbucker has less output than Dime's L500XL, so gain sits at 8 to reach comparable saturation. The MG30CFX lacks a presence knob. A graphic EQ pedal is critical to authentically nail the surgical 500-800Hz scoop that defines this tone.

PRO TIPDime tuned to Eb then dropped an additional ~40 cents flat (roughly halfway to D). Attack the strings hard with a stiff pick choked up near the tip — his pinch harmonics and tight palm-muted chugs come from aggressive right-hand technique, not gear alone.
