The Vox AC15C1 Top Boost channel cannot produce the compressed high-gain saturation of a cranked Marshall JCM800, so a dedicated Marshall-style distortion pedal is strongly recommended into a clean amp setting. Because a Stratocaster single-coil is thinner and brighter than Ray Toro's P90/humbucker Les Paul, roll your guitar tone back to 8 and keep the amp's Tone Cut around 6 to tame harsh chime. Note that the AC15C1 faceplate has no dedicated Mid or Presence knob (Tone Cut acts as the power-amp high roll-off).
