01Mooer GE100 DS Module (T.SCREAM / TS Drive Block)
Used as a clean boost in front of the amp model to tighten low-end palm mutes
02Mooer GE100 NS Module (Noise Gate)
Essential to clamp high-gain hiss between percussive downstrokes
The Jackson JS22 Monarkh carries passive high-output humbuckers rather than James Hetfield's active EMG 81s, so the onboard TS drive block is engaged as a clean boost to recreate that tight attack. The Mooer GE100's Cali MK model reproduces the Mesa Mark preamp, with mids pulled down to 3 and treble boosted to replicate the famous post-distortion graphic EQ V-curve. For the clean interlude: switch to the 65 TWIN clean model, turn off the drive block, and switch the Jackson to the neck pickup.
