Why these settings

Your Max Music practice amp and single-coil Stratocaster are fundamentally mismatched for this tone—the original used hot EMG humbuckers into a high-gain tube preamp/power amp slave rig. I maxed the gain your amp has, scooped mids to 2 (original was 3-4 but your amp needs more compensation), and boosted bass +1 to offset the Strat's thinner low end.
