Why these settings

The original Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ has extremely tight, focused mids around 800Hz that the MG15's solid-state preamp cannot replicate — I pushed mids to 7 and kept treble restrained at 5 to avoid the Marshall fizz. The MG15 OD channel is looser and buzzier than a Mesa, so a TS-style pedal in front would massively improve note definition and chunk. Reverb is 0 because the Load production is bone dry.

PRO TIPPalm mute slightly looser than thrash-era Metallica — Load-era Hetfield lets the strings breathe more on the chugs. Roll your tone knob to 7 to tame the Jackson's bridge humbucker brittleness and get closer to the thick ESP/EMG warmth.
