The Squier Bullet Stratocaster ceramic single coils can sound slightly harsh in the high end, so rolling guitar tone to 8 and keeping ME-80 Preamp treble at 5 tames the top. Pushing the mid to 6 compensates for the naturally scooped Fender-style clean preamp block to capture Mateus's vocal, boutique midrange. Using the ME-80's onboard Comp and Hall reverb delivers the studio compression and ambient decay without requiring external pedals.
