Why these settings

The Frontman 15G's built-in drive circuit gets fizzy and lacks the massive low-end saturation of Brad Delson's Mesa Dual Rectifier, so keep the amp on the clean channel with low gain. A dedicated high-gain distortion pedal like a Boss MT-2 is recommended to provide the tight, scooped-mid saturation. To compensate for bright Strat single-coils vs Delson's humbuckers, Treble on the amp and pedal is reduced while rolling the guitar's Tone knob back to 7. Note: the Frontman 15G has no presence or reverb knobs, so those are set to null.
