Pull the amplifier EQ mids down to 4 and push the Tone knob (presence equivalent) to 7 to recreate the Mesa Mark IV V-curve EQ scoop. Because single-coil pickups on a Strat lack the low-end girth of Mark Morton's humbuckers, set the amp Dynamics knob to 6 and Bass to 6 to thicken the palm mutes.
