Why these settings

KINO's tone came from limited Soviet gear — clean amps pushed to slight breakup with bright, jangly attack. The Cort X300's humbuckers are hotter than Soviet single-coil-adjacent pickups, so gain stays low (3) and treble high (7) to preserve the chimey cut. The AC30-style model on the MG-400 captures the Class A compression and harmonic complexity. Roll tone knob to 7 to tame humbucker brightness while keeping articulation.

PRO TIPPlay with a light pick attack near the bridge for that wiry, urgent post-punk rhythm sound — Viktor Tsoi's playing was percussive and precise, not heavy-handed. The tone breathes when you dig in and cleans up when you back off.
