01NUX MG-400 EFX Block: T Screamer (Clean Boost / Tighten)
Used as a clean mid-push in front of the Brit 800 amp block
02NUX MG-400 DLY Block: Tape Echo
Post-amp / FX loop placement; set delay time to ~380ms
03NUX MG-400 RVB Block: Plate
Post-amp / FX loop placement for smooth room ambience
The Ibanez RG550 has hotter ceramic/alnico V pickups than Slash's vintage-output Alnico II Pro pickups, so roll guitar tone down to 7 to achieve that warm, rounded vocal lead bite. The Brit 800 model with boosted mids and a mild TS push provides the signature singing sustain without introducing harsh modern high-end fizz. Clean intro/verse: switch to bridge+middle split or bypass the TS boost and roll volume down to 6.
