Used strictly as a clean boost/tightener out front
The Diezel VH4 Channel 3 naturally provides massive low-end authority and searing modern gain, closely matching the punch of Adam D's boosted Soldano/Rectifier studio blend. Running the TS9 with Drive at 0 and Level on 10 cuts the low-end flub before hitting the preamp, which compensates for the Donner bridge humbucker's slightly looser low-end compared to active EMGs. Bass is kept at 5 and mids pushed to 6 to retain the signature cut and articulation in Drop C.
