On the Spider IV 75, the Metal Red model emulates this voicing, but running the physical Boss SD-1 in front requires keeping the amp's Drive knob around 2-3 to prevent harsh mud. The Jackson JS32 passive ceramic humbuckers have plenty of cut, so setting Treble at 7 and Mid at 5 maintains razor-sharp attack without getting fizzy. Note that the Spider IV 75 faceplate lacks a dedicated Presence knob, so high-end bite is shaped solely via Treble and the SD-1 Tone control.
