Why these settings

The Fender Twin Reverb has immense clean headroom and a naturally scooped midrange compared to Hendrix's cranked 100W Marshall Super Lead. Push the Twin's Middle to 8, keep the Bright Switch OFF, and roll Treble down to 5 to tame harsh top-end single-coil piercing. Drive the TS9 hard to inject the thick mid-hump and compression that the Twin's pristine preamp cannot produce natively.

PRO TIPTune down one half-step to Eb Standard (Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb) for authentic string tension, and roll your guitar volume back to 7-8 during the wah intro to keep it articulate before maxing it out when hitting the main riff.
