Why these settings

To compensate for the Squier Strat's bright single-coil bridge pickup compared to Slash's warm Alnico II humbucker, amp treble is trimmed down and the guitar tone knob is rolled back to 7 to remove thin ice-pick bite. The GE100's DS 800 amp block carries the Marshall roar with mids boosted to 8 to supply the fat crunch body of a Les Paul. Intro delay: kick on the delay block at around 240ms with 4-5 repeats, then disengage it once the full band hits the main riff.

PRO TIPDig in with a heavy pick right against the bridge saddles on downstrokes, and roll the Strat tone knob to ~7 to simulate the resonant low-mid warmth of an Alnico II humbucker.
