Your MG30CFX is a solid-state Marshall voiced brighter and tighter than the original tube Super Lead. I dropped treble from 7 to 6 and presence from 8 to 6 to avoid harshness. Your EC-1000's active EMG pickups are hotter than Slash's Alnico IIs, so gain is reduced from the original's dimed setting to 7. The MG's OD1 channel gets closest to non-master-volume Marshall crunch without fizz.

PRO TIPSlash tuned down a half step to Eb — this adds low-end thump and string slinkiness that's essential to the feel. For the clean breakdown, roll your guitar volume to 4-5 instead of switching channels; EMGs clean up less gracefully than passive pickups, so you may need to drop to 3.
