The Fender Deluxe Reverb has high clean headroom and a scooped-mid Fender voicing that cannot natively replicate the singing high-gain saturation of Slash's modded JCM800. Volume/gain is pushed to 8 on the amp to squeeze out natural tube breakup, with Treble dropped to 4 to temper the Jazzmaster's bright single coils. Rolling the Jazzmaster's neck pickup tone down to 5 rounds off the sharp single-coil attack to mimic an Alnico II humbucker.
