The Deluxe Reverb is a scooped, clean-platform tube amp with only Volume, Treble, and Bass knobs, so it cannot fully replicate a cranked Marshall JCM800 high-gain lead on its own. To get the closest honest tone today, crank the amp's Volume to 8 for natural 6V6 power tube breakup while keeping Bass low to avoid flub. Adding a Marshall-in-a-box overdrive pedal is necessary to achieve Slash's singing saturation, after which you would drop the amp volume down to clean levels. Solo/outro switch: flip to the bridge pickup and roll tone up to 8.
