The Blues Jr is a clean-platform Fender — it cannot produce Marshall-style preamp saturation on its own. Gain is maxed (10) to extract every bit of breakup the 12AX7 preamp offers, but you still need an overdrive pedal to reach the singing sustain of the original. Mid pushed to 8 to compensate for the Fender's natural mid-scoop versus the mid-forward Jubilee voicing. Treble dropped to 4 because the Blues Jr's treble shelf sits higher than Marshall's and gets ice-picky with gain.
