RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; run direct into amp input to provide the thick Marshall Plexi crunch that the AC15 Top Boost channel lacks on its own
The AC15 Top Boost channel lacks a dedicated mid knob and is chime-heavy rather than mid-focused like Billie Joe's modded Marshalls. To adapt for Strat single coils, keep treble at 5, roll your guitar tone back to 8 to tame high-end shrillness, and push the Top Boost volume to 8 for maximum natural preamp saturation. With a recommended Marshall-style dirt pedal added later, switch to the Normal channel with gain at 3 for a cleaner pedal platform. Clean intro: roll guitar volume knob down to 6.
