RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. The Blues Junior has too much clean headroom to replicate the Champ's sag and breakup at usable volumes. A TS-style pedal into moderate amp gain recreates the midrange honk and compressed sustain of a dimed small amp.
The original Champ was a 5-watt amp cranked to full distortion — your 15-watt Blues Junior stays cleaner at high volumes. I've pushed the gain to 7 and master to 10 to get the preamp working hard, dropped bass to 2 (matching Clapton's 'bass all the way down'), and set treble high but pulled back from 10 to 8 because the Blues Junior's treble shelf is brighter than the tweed Champ's. Without an overdrive pedal, you'll get the character but not the saturation — the TS recommendation fills that gap.
