Boosted mids to 8 to capture his thick bark, kept treble restrained at 5 to avoid the Valvestate's natural ice-pick top end. Gain at 6 provides the grinding crunch without modern saturation — Iommi's original tone was surprisingly low-gain by today's standards. Presence pulled back to 4 to soften the solid-state edge. The ARC300's humbuckers are hotter than Iommi's P-90s, so no boost pedal needed.
