BOOST role: tightens the low-end punch into the Crate Solo channel
Pete Loeffler relies on high-wattage Mesa 6L6 saturation; the Crate GTD65 solid-state Solo channel provides the required high gain while the RAT acts as a tight pre-boost with Distortion rolled down and Volume cranked. The GTD65 lacks a physical Presence control (set to null), so Treble is pushed to 7 to replicate the Mark IV's top-end cut without turning fizzy. For the clean verses, switch the amp to the Clean channel and bypass the RAT.
