The Fender Twin Reverb has huge clean headroom and scooped mids, so the MXR Fullbore Metal serves as the entire modern high-gain engine. The bright switch is turned off and the amp treble is rolled back to 4 to eliminate harsh solid-state clipping fizziness through the Twin's pristine 6kHz top end. The TS9 is placed before the Fullbore with zero drive and high level to push cutting 1kHz midrange into the distortion, matching Padge's active EMG 81 attack.
