Why these settings

The Jackson JS22 ceramic bridge humbucker has higher output and less midrange grit than Scholz's P-90 Goldtop, so amp gain is pulled back slightly to 7 to prevent low-end mud. The GT-1's parametric/graphic EQ block does the heavy lifting to replicate the Scholz 'Rockman' mid-hump by pushing the 400Hz-800Hz range directly before the high-gain Marshall model. Clean intro: switch to neck pickup, bypass the high-gain preamp block, and engage the onboard clean model with chorus.

PRO TIPScholz's signature harmonic crunch relies on pick attack: pick firmly right next to the bridge saddles and catch a sliver of your thumb against the string for subtle pinch harmonics on the chord stabs.
