Bed of roses amp settings — Fender 10g
The Bom jovi guitar tone for “Bed of roses”, dialed in for a Fender 10g with a Squier Contemporary Stratocaster. Studio version, Keep the Faith (1992) - Lead Guitar / Solo
Fender Richie Sambora Stratocaster HSS (DiMarzio PAF Pro / Texas Specials) into Fender Tone-Master and Marshall JCM800 / Vox AC30 blend with Klon Centaur/SD-1 boost and Lexicon/EHX rack delay
| Knob | Setting (0–10) |
|---|---|
| Gain | 2 |
| Bass | 5 |
| Treble | 5 |
| Master | 4 |
01Behringer OD300 Overdrive/Distortion
Set towards the Overdrive side on Mode for warm, singing sustain
02Donner Yellow Fall Delay
Analog-style warm delay to match Sambora's ambient ballad lead trails
Because the Fender Frontman 10G has only Bass, Treble, and Gain on a 6-inch speaker, we use the Clean channel with low gain to let the Behringer OD300 generate all the smooth distortion without fizzy solid-state clipping. The OD300 Mode knob is leaned toward Overdrive with Tone pushed to 6 to restore the thick midrange that the Frontman lacks on its faceplate. For the clean ballad verses: switch off the OD300 and use the neck+middle pickup.
