RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; with this pedal, switch Frontman to Clean channel, gain 2
The Frontman 10G faceplate features only Gain, Overdrive Switch, Volume, Treble, and Bass with no dedicated mid or presence controls. To compensate for single-coil Strat pickups against the record's thick humbucker tracking, treble is pulled back to 4 and guitar tone to 8 to tame harsh bite while bass is set to 6 for body. The built-in OD channel at gain 6 provides the necessary punk-rock saturation without turning overly fizzy on the 6-inch speaker.
