01Boss DS-1 Distortion (or similar)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for the industrial-thrash saturation. A RAT or HM-2 clone would also work. Without a pedal, the Cub's drive channel alone will get you partway but lack the aggressive clipping.
The Laney Cub 12R is a Class AB tube amp voiced for classic British crunch — it's warmer and rounder than the tight, processed thrash tones Scaccia achieved. I've pushed gain to max and scooped mids slightly to approximate the aggressive industrial character. The LP Junior's single P90 is grittier and lower output than Scaccia's hot humbuckers, so I've kept treble high to compensate for the midrange bark. A distortion pedal is strongly recommended to hit the required saturation without the Cub breaking up too loosely.
