Why these settings

On the GP-100, use the UK Plexi model with pushed midrange and presence to replicate the cranked Variac Marshall. The Les Paul style humbuckers closely match Eddie's PAF output, so gain is kept at 8 to achieve natural saturation without excessive digital fizz. Replicate the pre-amp Phase 90 sweep by keeping the phaser rate low at around 9 o'clock.

PRO TIPEddie placed the Phase 90 before the amp input rather than in an FX loop, which distorts the phased signal into the Marshall for that distinctive chewed-up midrange texture during the tapping section.
