| Mid | 7 |
| Treble | 6 |
| Presence | 6 |
| Reverb | 3 |
| Master | 5 |
01Katana Onboard Booster (Blues Drive block)
Used as tight front-end push into the Brown channel
02Katana Onboard Modulation (Pitch Shift / Detune block)
Emulates Eddie's signature Eventide H3000 micro-pitch doubling
The Katana Artist MkII's Brown setting accurately channels Eddie's high-gain Marshall/Soldano crunch, while the onboard Blues Drive boost tightens the bass for fast alternate picking. Because a standard Stratocaster single-coil bridge pickup has thinner low-end and sharper top-end than Eddie's overwound bridge humbucker, mids are pushed to 7, treble is dialed back to 6, and gain is increased slightly to add necessary body. Master volume should be adjusted to suit room volume while keeping the power amp setting at 0.5W or 50W.
