Why these settings

The Joyo DC-15S is a practice amp with a softer, more compressed overdrive voicing than a cranked JCM800. Your Strat's single coils are significantly brighter and lower-output than Hickey's SG humbuckers, so treble is dropped from what Hickey ran (he'd be at 8-9) and bass is boosted +1 to compensate for the Strat's thinner low-end. Without a distortion pedal, you will not achieve the aggressive saturation of the original—the amp alone tops out at a bluesy crunch, not punk-thrash aggression.
