01Joyo Uzi
Primary distortion source—amp stays clean to avoid double-gain mud. Set amp channel to 'Clean' instead of 'Lead' if the Joyo DC-15S allows it, and drop amp gain to 0-1 to use this pedal's voicing.
The Joyo DC-15S is a modeling amp—select the 'Lead' channel or a high-gain model (Mesa-style if available). Original used rack preamps with massive headroom and scooped voicing; the DC-15S's smaller speaker and solid-state design won't replicate the percussive thump without help. The Joyo Uzi (a Metal Zone-style pedal) is the better gain source here—its scooped EQ curve and tight low-end match the original better than the amp's onboard gain. If using the Uzi, set the amp to its cleanest channel and drop amp gain to 0-1 to prevent double-gain mush. Mid scooped hard (2) because the original's clarity comes from percussive attack and drop-tuned fundamental, not midrange bark. Your Artist Ag1's humbuckers will be warmer and lower-output than Carpenter's JB—push Uzi gain to 7 and amp bass to 7 to compensate for missing low-string tension (tune down to Drop C# if possible: C#-G#-C#-F#-A#-D#).
