01Valeron GP-200 — Graphic EQ Block

Run in front of amp input; 800Hz boost is critical for Adam Jones' vocal-like midrange punch and 'velcro' grind

02Valeron GP-200 — Digital Delay Block

Set to ~350-400ms; use for verse ambience and Reflection-style swells; bypass for tight riffing sections

Why these settings

The ID:Core 10 lacks the VH4's massive headroom, so ISF pushed British retrieves some of that Marshall-side thickness Jones blends in. Mid at 7 compensates for your Pacifica's brighter single-coil-style humbuckers vs his Les Paul's fat output. Bass dropped to 4 keeps the small speaker tight—Jones runs tight lows even on a 4x12. The GP-200's 800Hz EQ boost is doing the heavy lifting that Jones achieves with rack EQ.

PRO TIPAdam Jones picks extremely close to the bridge with heavy attack and lets notes ring into each other—that 'velcro' grind comes from pick articulation hitting a mid-pushed amp, not from gain alone. Drop to D standard tuning and dig in hard on downstrokes.
