Why these settings

The Stagg 40 GA R is a basic solid-state practice amp with limited headroom and a scooped, thinner voicing compared to the original Marshall tube combo. I pushed mids to 7 (original was ~6.5) to compensate for the Stagg's mid-scoop and rolled treble down to 5 because solid-state amps get harsh faster than tubes. Without a Big Muff, the amp's gain alone will sound thin and fizzy—this tone truly requires a fuzz pedal to be authentic.

PRO TIPRoll your Strat's tone knob to 7 and dig in hard with your pick near the bridge—the Big Muff responds to pick attack dynamics, and the Telecaster's snappier bridge pickup on the original means you need to compensate by playing more aggressively on your Strat's Alnico V single coils.
