RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. The Rage 158's solid-state distortion is grainy and thin; a TS-style pedal in front will add the warm midrange compression this tone needs. Run the amp on CLEAN channel with gain at 2 if using this pedal.
The original uses Marshall tube saturation with humbuckers; your Rage 158 is solid-state with single coils, so the tone will be thinner and brighter. I pushed mids to 7 to compensate for the Strat's scooped voice and the amp's lack of midrange warmth. Rolling the tone knob to 7 tames the Strat's ice-pick highs. Without a pedal, this is your closest match, but it will lack the original's thick compression.
