RECOMMENDED — not currently owned
The MG15G has a 3-band EQ and no presence or onboard reverb controls, so both are nulled. Because Kevin Parker achieved this sound via a direct-injected Seymour Duncan tube preamp and a Blues Driver rather than a traditional guitar cabinet, we use the MG15G's Overdrive channel at moderate gain (5) with pushed treble to mimic the bright DI grit. With the recommended BD-2, switch the amp to the Clean channel with gain at 2 for an authentic DI-style breakup.
